Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a Diesel Mechanic for our Odessa, TX location who is energetic, highly motivated, well organized, a self‑starter with strong commitment to safety. Document/record repair work performed electronically on computer‑based vehicle maintenance system. Perform road repairs when necessary. Diagnose and repair vehicle electrical, air‑brake components/systems. Perform electrical/electronic diagnosis repairs on tractors and trailers. Gas and electrical welding experience preferred. Help plant operations as needed. Participation in company safety, training, environmental and improvement programs. This is a safety sensitive position. Additional Responsibilities Perform cryogenic maintenance to include repair/replacing valves, pumps, etc. Calibrate pump discharge meters. Load trailers. Wash fleet equipment. Housekeeping. Handle inventory for spare tires and fleet equipment parts. Handle fleet fuels and lubricants. Perform delivery operation environmental and safety tasks. Assist plant operations maintenance. Qualifications High School diploma/equivalent Class A CDL preferred (not required) Strong mechanical background, with above average computer experience/skills Energetic, highly motivated and well organized, self‑starter with strong commitment to safety Strong team player with ability to work well with fellow mechanics/drivers/operations personnel Solid work history Ability to drive a tractor Welding knowledge and experience Electrical troubleshooting skills on 12‑volt DC circuits Diesel engine troubleshooting and minor repair experience Air Products proudly values the skills, dedication and leadership that veterans bring to the table.
