Mobile Medical Trailer Truck Driver (CDL OTR) – Full Time Overview Akumin is seeking dependable CDL Class A truck drivers to transport tractor trailers for national over‑the‑road deliveries of mobile medical imaging equipment. The driver will move trailers to hospitals and clinics, assisting with set‑up and tear‑down of equipment overnight to support MRI, PET & CT operations. Responsibilities Transport 1–2 mobile medical imaging trailers nightly, following scheduled routes. Load and unload trailers, assisting with setup or teardown of medical equipment (estimated 30–45 minutes per site). Ensure trailers are securely connected and the vehicle is in safe operating condition. Operate tractor terms with automatic transmission, driving safely per ICC and DOT regulations. Perform mechanical or safety checks; report or repair any issues. Maintain a clean DOT driving record and avoid damages to equipment or client property. Handle occasional short‑term deployments of 1–2 weeks away from home. Requirements & Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred). Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL‑A) and DOT medical certification. Minimum 2 years of experience driving tractor trailers with automatic transmission. Clean DOT driving record with no moving violations. Ability to lift up to 100lbs and perform equipment set‑up tasks. Background check and drug test required. Strong magnetic field exposure, noise, and environmental hazard tolerance. Compartment transportation of medical equipment expertise; training provided. Benefits Paid training. 401(k) plan.
