Senior Digital Analytics Strategist

The Senior Digital Analytics Strategist serves as Finalsite’s subject matter expert for digital analytics and leads the delivery, growth, and evolution of Finalsite’s Insights and Optimization subscription service. This role transforms website, marketing, and user behavior data into actionable strategies that help schools and districts improve their digital presence, user experience, and marketing performance.

Combining deep expertise in Google Analytics 4 (GA4), heatmapping and user behavior analysis with strong client consultation and communication skills, the Senior Digital Analytics Strategist delivers data-driven recommendations, education, and strategic guidance to clients while supporting teams across Professional Services.

This role also owns the continued evolution and scalability of the Insights and Optimization service, developing repeatable approaches to analytics consultation, education, reporting, and optimization while identifying opportunities to leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve analysis, efficiency, and client value.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Digital Analytics & Strategy

• Serve as the primary subject matter expert for digital analytics across Professional Services, with advanced expertise in GA4, heatmapping, user behavior, website performance, and digital marketing analytics.
• Analyze website and marketing data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, translating complex findings into clear and actionable recommendations.
• Conduct analytics audits and troubleshoot complex tracking, configuration, reporting, and data-quality issues.
• Develop strategies that help clients use data to improve website performance, user experience, engagement, conversions, enrollment, and other organizational goals.
• Provide analytics expertise and consultation to internal teams supporting website, digital marketing, and optimization initiatives.
• Stay current on changes in analytics, measurement, privacy, AI, search, and digital marketing that may impact client strategy or service delivery.

Insights & Optimization Service Delivery

• Lead the delivery and continued evolution of Finalsite’s Insights and Optimization subscription service.
• Develop and deliver actionable client education and consultation focused on GA4, heatmapping, user behavior, website optimization, and data-driven decision making.
• Create scalable educational content, consultation frameworks, and recurring programming that provide ongoing value throughout the client lifecycle.
• Deliver foundational training for new clients and advanced optimization guidance as clients mature within the service.
• Provide ongoing consultation and support through scheduled sessions, office hours, and targeted client engagements.
• Partner with Professional Services teams to provide analytics and optimization guidance during website redesigns and other strategic client initiatives.

Service Growth & Scalability

• Develop repeatable processes, standards, and best practices that allow the Insights and Optimization service to scale efficiently.
• Manage and continuously improve the client lifecycle, including intake, analytics readiness, technical onboarding, service delivery, and offboarding.
• Identify opportunities to expand adoption and value of the service across private and independent schools, public school districts, and international schools.
• Monitor service performance, client engagement, and emerging needs to recommend improvements to the offering.
• Identify opportunities to responsibly leverage AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve analytics workflows, uncover insights, increase efficiency, and enhance client value.
• Partner with leadership to help shape the future direction and capabilities of the Insights and Optimization service.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Serve as a strategic analytics resource for teams across Professional Services Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Professional Services to ensure expectations, positioning, and service delivery remain aligned.
• Partner with DMS to strengthen the use of analytics and performance data within digital marketing strategy and client recommendations.
• Maintain key relationships with analytics and user behavior technology partners and stay informed of new capabilities that may benefit Finalsite and its clients.
• Develop internal guidance, training, and best practices to strengthen analytics knowledge across relevant teams.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in digital analytics, web analytics, digital marketing analytics, data strategy, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency with Google Analytics 4 (GA4), including the ability to independently analyze, audit, troubleshoot, and interpret complex analytics
• implementations and data.
• Strong experience with heatmapping and user behavior analysis platforms (Crazy Egg a must have).
• Strong understanding of website performance, user journeys, conversion behavior, digital marketing measurement, and optimization strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex data and technical concepts into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences.
• Strong client consultation, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to confidently lead strategic conversations.
• Experience developing educational content, training, consultation frameworks, or scalable client programs.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to independently investigate and resolve complex analytical questions.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across client-facing, technical, sales, product, and leadership teams.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and responsibly leverage AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve analytical workflows and productivity.
• Ability to operate effectively within an evolving service model, balancing hands-on client delivery with service development and scalability.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience; relevant analytics certifications are a plus.
• 20% travel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Analytics certification or equivalent advanced GA4 experience.
• Experience combining website analytics, user behavior data, and digital marketing performance data to develop optimization strategies.
• Experience with analytics reporting, visualization, tagging, or measurement platforms.
• Experience working within EdTech, SaaS, Professional Services, agency, or consulting environments.
• Experience working with K–12 schools, public school districts, private and independent schools, or international schools.
• Experience developing or scaling subscription-based analytics, consulting, or optimization services.
