Position Summary: The Clinic RN/LPN, CMA, Certified Athletic Trainer works collaboratively with both clinical and non-clinical teams, focusing on providing safe and effective care for patients with musculoskeletal conditions.

FTE / Hours: 1.0 / 40

Schedule: Mon - Fri: Five 8-Hour Shifts, 7a - 5p

Locations: Oakview, Elkhorn, Maple, Aksarben and/or Council Bluffs as needed

Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 for RN or LPN

Position Requirements

Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing is required. Aligned requirements for Medical Assistant and Athletic Trainer if applicable.

Licensure: RN or LPN License in the state in which services are provided, generally Nebraska and Iowa required. Aligned requirements for Medical Assistant and Athletic Trainer if applicable.

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.

Experience: 1+ Years of RN/LPN (Registered Nurse/ Licensed Practical Nurse) Experience preferred. Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Aligned requirements for Medical Assistant and Athletic Trainer if applicable.

Essential Job Functions

• Escort patients to examination rooms and record/enter their vital signs and medical history into EMR.
• Prepare patients for exams and in-office procedures.
• Assist providers during examinations, injections, and in-office procedures.
• Prepare injections, treatments, and orders as directed by licensed providers.
• Prepare specimens for external lab testing.
• Provide oral and/or written patient education on treatment plans, pre/post-surgery, medications, and self-care practices.
• Keep patient documentation and records in the EMR system accurate and up to date.
• Coordinate the scheduling of patient appointments, surgeries, and outpatient tests.
• Patient Communication: Respond promptly to patient inquiries and gather information to assess their condition. Consult with providers regarding patient care needs. Document all patient communication in EMR
• Ensure that providers have reviewed and signed all reports.
• Oversee clinic flow and prepare equipment, exam rooms, and charts for upcoming patient visits.
• Ensure proper maintenance of medical equipment and supplies.
• Follow infection-control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Adhere to safety and regulatory guidelines, such as HIPAA, OSHA and Joint Commission.
• Assist with the orientation and training of new team members as needed.
• Assist with monitoring medical supply inventory.
• Cleaning and Disinfection to include the use of sterilization equipment, as well as keeping accurate records to comply with external regulations by following policies and procedures.
• All other duties as assigned within scope and for which competency has been demonstrated.

Physical requirements: This position is classified as Medium Work in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, requiring the exertion of 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
