The Nursing ROCU (Radiology Recovery and Observation Care Unit) supports patients following interventional radiology procedures. This PRN position requires coverage of three shifts within each six‑week scheduling period. Key Responsibilities Collaborate in establishing the plan of care and implement care delivery, anticipating patient needs across the continuum. Analyze comprehensive information to determine nursing diagnosis and evaluate progress toward goals. Utilize the nursing process continuously to guide interventions and achieve effective outcomes. Employ strategies to promote health and maintain a safe, healthy environment. Communicate pertinent patient/family information to the health care team and facilitate information exchange. Monitor patient status and recognize problems, initiating appropriate contact with the primary team as needed. Technical Capabilities Patient Assessment & Evaluation (Novice): Demonstrate proficiency in assessing and evaluating patients, conducting primary care interviews and physical exams. Patient Education (Novice): Provide patient education and support in moderate‑difficulty practical applications. Care Planning (Novice): Anticipate resource needs, set priorities, schedule activities, and manage multiple assignments effectively. Evidence‑Based Practice (Novice): Search for and apply evidence to answer clinical questions under guidance. Position Qualifications Licensure: Registered Nurse (LIC) – State license must be current and active. Work Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience. Education: Graduate from an approved discipline‑specific program. Certifications: None required; Board of Nursing standards applicable.
