Locums Medical Oncology Physician

We are seeking a Locums Oncology Physician to provide outpatient coverage in Willimantic, Connecticut. This opportunity is ideal for a Medical Oncologist (generalist preferred) who is comfortable managing both general oncology and benign hematology patients in a collaborative, patient-focused practice.

Compensation: $425 Per Hour

Assignment Details

Practice Setting: Outpatient Clinic

Schedule: 3 days per week

Call: None

Responsibilities

Evaluate and manage adult patients with a variety of oncologic conditions.

Provide comprehensive medical oncology care with a focus on general oncology.

Support the evaluation and management of benign hematology conditions.

Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans, including chemotherapy and supportive care as appropriate.

Collaborate with advanced practice providers, nurses, pharmacists, and other specialists to deliver coordinated, high-quality patient care.

Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.

Qualifications

MD or DO from an accredited medical school.

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology.

General Medical Oncology experience required.

Experience managing benign hematology conditions preferred.

Active Connecticut medical license or ability to obtain.
