About the Role

Are you an operations professional looking for a clear growth trajectory? We are hiring a Office Management Specialist who will train to become our next Business Manager .

This is a structured, phased pathway to leadership. You will work directly with the CEO, master our AI-integrated back-office workflows and human resources, coordinate accounting operations with third parties, and transition to full ownership of daily business management. Your first ninety (90) days of employment will serve as an Introductory Employment Period. During this time, you will receive structured training and mentorship from the CEO and the current Business Manager while becoming familiar with JLGOV's operations, policies, procedures, technology, and performance expectations.

• Year 1: Fully on-site for direct mentorship and side-by-side training with the CEO.
• Year 2+: Transitions to a hybrid schedule (2–3 days on-site).

Requirements

• Experience: 2 years of working in a professional experience with some background in human resources, accounting, and back-office operations (essential).
• Operations: Functional experience with bookkeeping (AP/AR, reconciliations) and HR administration.
• Tech Skills: Highly proficient in MS Excel and eager to utilize AI productivity tools. (Required)
• Education: Associate’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field.
• Compliance: Must pass a comprehensive background check, drug screening, and credit check.

Strategic Growth & Phased Plan

Phase 1: Foundation (Year 1)

• Role: Office Management Specialist
• Focus: Work directly with the CEO and shadow the current Business Manager. You will master back-office workflows, manage core bookkeeping, handle HR tasks, and oversee vendor communications.
• Compensation: $20.00 / Hour (Fixed entry rate; full health eligibility after 3 months).

Phase 2: Strategic Management (Year 2)

• Role: Business Manager
• Focus: Take full strategic ownership of operations, ensure contract compliance, and drive firm-wide efficiency as a direct partner to senior leadership.
• Compensation: $23.00 / Hour (up to a 15% increase after one year, based on performance).

Compensation Policy

We maintain strict transparency. Our compensation structure is fixed, predictable, and tied directly to established performance milestones rather than individual negotiation. Entry rates for this position are set firmly at $20.00/hour with no intermediate increases during the first year.
