Executive DirectorThe Women's Fund for Health Education and Resiliency (TWF) is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Executive Director to lead this nonprofit organization into its next chapter of growth and impact.The mission of TWF is to provide women and girls in the Greater Houston area with the tools they need to be advocates for their health. For nearly 40 years, The Women's Fund has been educating girls and women through free classes, workshops, lectures and publications focused on physical, mental, financial, and emotional health and wellness. In addition, TWF's classes emphasize resiliency, helping women and girls learn to cope with and overcome challenges that impact their health and well-being. Through strong partnerships with like-minded nonprofit partners and organizations, TWF is dedicated to reaching populations that have limited access to health information and often struggle to maintain their basic health needs.The Women's Fund Executive Director should have:Passion for improving the health and resiliency of women and girlsBachelor's degree from an accredited institution7 to 10 years of progressively responsible nonprofit leadership experienceDemonstrated fundraising success, including major gifts, special events and donor stewardshipExperience supervising, developing, and managing staff and volunteersExperience managing and adhering to nonprofit budgets and financesStrong communication and public speaking skillsExperience working collaboratively with a Board of Directors and key stakeholdersKnowledge of nonprofit governance and best practicesAn understanding of the nonprofit and philanthropic community in Greater HoustonExecutive Director responsibilities will include:Fostering a positive, mission-driven and collaborative organizational cultureServe as the organization's chief fundraiser in partnership with the development director and Board of Directors, including cultivating, asking, and stewarding major donorsManaging and overseeing the organization's finances and annual operating budget, ensuring accountability and sustainable growthOverseeing annual and long-term fundraising initiatives, donor development and special eventsBuilding relationships with healthcare organizations, educational institutions, funders, and community leadersEvaluating program outcomes and ensuring programs align with organizational goalsRecruiting, developing, supervising and evaluating staffServing as the primary spokesperson and represent the organization in the communitySupporting effective board governance and organizational complianceDeveloping and implementing strategic plans in partnership with the Board of DirectorsBenefits and Culture:We are committed to a competitive compensation, based on experience, and offer benefits including:Comprehensive health coverage: Medical, dental, and vision insuranceFinancial security: Life and disability insurancePaid Time Off: including vacation and sick timeIf you are a strategic nonprofit leader with strong fundraising expertise and a passion for advancing women's health education and resiliency, we encourage you to apply.We are an equal opportunity employer that welcomes and encourages diversity in the workplace.
