Description:

1. Assists in the oversight of financial and budget operations forthe Division of Academic Affairs; including assisting the AssistantProvost with the annual budgeting process, ensuring financialaccountability and compliance with state, university and externalfunding agency guidelines, and assisting in the development andimplementation of division-wide business processes and bestpractices.
2. Conducts division-wide mock-audit to ensure compliance withstate and university policies and procedures. Assists the Sr ExecDir, Business Ops (AA) in pre- and post-audit activities for thedivision.
3. Provides assistance to the Assistant Provost in theimplementation of organizational decisions. This includes workingon special projects, developing training workshops, and generatingcustom reports.
4. Manages faculty hiring, start up, and budget allocationdatabases in Finance & Administration.
5. Oversees Monthly Checklist process for division.
6. Serves as a resource to the CBAs in each college for alladministration, budget, finance, and faculty hiring relatedinquiries. Monitors budget and equity balances for the division.Participates in onboarding/training for new CBAs.
7. Serves as the primary approver for all exempt staff hiring andjob change actions at the division level.
8. Oversees CBA work product for all actions that require Provostreview/approval.
9. Serves as primary reviewer to conduct compliance audits forprocurement and contractual documents including contracts,amendments, MOUs, affiliation agreements, extension agreements, andrevenue agreements requiring VP approval within Academic Affairsdivision.
10. Analyzes financial data using CoogPlan (Hyperion), PeopleSoftqueries, and the Student Dashboard, and produces customized reportson college financials for executive leadership.
11. Acts as central point of contact for all colleges; reviews andanalyzes data submitted from all units; prepares consolidatedreports/responses. Facilitates all business-oriented documentssubmitted by colleges for Provost-level approval.
12. Researches, assesses, and manages the resolution of highlycomplex issues related to college interface activities asneeded.
13. Performs other job-related duties as required.

• Must be a multi-tasker, extremely organized, and have the abilityto work in a face-paced, high-pressure environment, with stronginterpersonal and problem-solving skills.

• Highest level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especiallyMicrosoft Excel.
• Ability to identify opportunities for improvement within workflowand other college business processes.
• Experience supporting the overall strategic planning andleadership vision of a complex unit, and aligning the creation andimplementation of annual budget to overall strategicpriorities.
• Experience managing contracts.
• Experience with managing University workflow processes (such asSAP Concur, PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, human resources andfinance workflows, and PageUp)
• Highest level of professionalism and respect forconfidentiality.
• Ability to interact with all levels of internal and externalconstituents.
