Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care in the Emergency Department for a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. Deliver high-quality emergency services in a fast-paced environment, supporting diagnosis, treatment, and patient stabilization.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions promptly upon arrival and determine priority for care.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and clinical protocols.
• Monitor and document patient responses, vital signs, and progress utilizing electronic health records.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and efficient unit operations.
• Float across units as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in various emergency scenarios.
• Ensure compliance with certifications and licensing requirements, maintaining current credentials.

Qualifications:

• Hold and maintain active RN licenses, including a valid NY license.
• Possess 2+ years of recent experience in Emergency Department settings.
• Demonstrate proficiency in hospital electronic medical records, particularly EPIC.
• Maintain current certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCCT.
• Exhibit strong clinical assessment skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Document travel experience and usage of specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
