Role Description The Site Leader is a full-time, on-site role based in Rochester, MN, responsible for overseeing daily operations, safety, and performance at the assigned facility or store location. This role leads and develops teams to deliver excellent customer service, ensure operational efficiency, and maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and food safety standards. The Site Leader manages staffing, scheduling, and training, while monitoring key performance indicators such as productivity, quality, and financial results. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating cross-functional activities, resolving operational issues, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture aligned with Kroger’s values. Qualifications Leadership and people management skills, including team development, coaching, performance management, and conflict resolution. Operational and organizational skills, such as facility or store operations oversight, scheduling, workflow planning, and process improvement. Customer-focused skills, including service orientation, problem-solving, and the ability to handle escalations and build positive customer relationships. Safety, compliance, and quality skills, including knowledge of food safety, workplace safety practices, regulatory compliance, and quality control standards. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with diverse teams. Analytical and decision-making skills, including comfort with data, KPIs, and basic financial understanding to support operational decisions. Prior experience in retail, grocery, manufacturing, or distribution leadership is highly beneficial. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, or related field preferred.
