Job Description

Senior Field Service Technician – Industrial & Medical Equipment

\n

Location: Remote/Field-Based (Travel Required)

\n

\n

Are You the Technician Everyone Calls When No One Else Can Fix It?

\n

If you’re the person who enjoys solving problems that others can’t, thrives on independence, and takes pride in doing the job right the first time, we want to talk to you.

\n

We are a successful, privately owned medical equipment company with a reputation for engineering excellence and outstanding customer support. Our customers rely on us because downtime isn’t an option—and we’re looking for an experienced Field Service Technician who shares that commitment.

\n

This isn’t a job where you’ll be micromanaged or stuck behind a desk. You’ll have the freedom to manage your territory, solve challenging technical problems, and become the trusted expert our customers depend on.

\n

If you enjoy working with sophisticated equipment, traveling to customer sites, and being respected for your expertise, this could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.

\n

\n

What You’ll Do

\n

You’ll be the face of our company in the field, responsible for keeping critical customer equipment operating at peak performance.

\n

Responsibilities include:

\n

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain sophisticated medical and industrial equipment.

\n

• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and vacuum system issues.

\n

• Service components including air compressors, vacuum pumps, valves, motors, sensors, regulators, and electromechanical assemblies.

\n

• Perform preventive maintenance, system inspections, calibrations, and equipment upgrades.

\n

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.

\n

• Troubleshoot electrical systems using multimeters and other diagnostic tools.

\n

• Complete service reports accurately and professionally.

\n

• Manage your own schedule and prioritize service calls across your territory.

\n

• Build lasting relationships with customers through professionalism, technical knowledge, and exceptional service.

\n

• Train customers on proper equipment operation when appropriate.

\n

\n

What We’re Looking For

\n

We’re not looking for someone who simply replaces parts. We’re looking for a true troubleshooter—someone who enjoys diagnosing complex issues, thinking critically, and taking ownership of every service call.

\n

The ideal candidate will have:

\n

• 10+ years of hands-on field service experience repairing industrial, laboratory, medical, or electromechanical equipment.

\n

• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

\n

• Experience working with air compressors, vacuum pumps, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, motors, pumps, valves, or similar industrial equipment.

\n

• The ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

\n

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

\n

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

\n

• A self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions.

\n

• A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel regularly.

\n

Preferred Experience

\n

Experience in any of the following is a plus:

\n

• Medical equipment

\n

• Laboratory instrumentation

\n

• Packaging or converting equipment

\n

• Industrial automation

\n

• PLC troubleshooting

\n

• Vacuum technology

\n

• Pneumatic control systems

\n

• Motion control

\n

• Calibration and precision instrumentation

\n

\n

Why Experienced Technicians Choose Us

\n

We know experienced technicians have options. That’s why we offer an environment where your knowledge is valued and your judgment is trusted.

\n

With us, you’ll enjoy:

\n

• Independence to manage your territory and daily schedule.

\n

• Challenging technical work that keeps every day interesting.

\n

• A company culture that respects experience and values results—not micromanagement.

\n

• Direct access to decision-makers in a privately owned company where your ideas matter.

\n

• The opportunity to make a real impact on customer success.

\n

• Continuous technical learning and exposure to advanced equipment.

\n

• A competitive compensation package with opportunities for long-term growth.

\n

Physical Requirements

\n

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

\n

• Ability to work in manufacturing, laboratory, and industrial environments.

\n

• Frequent travel by car and occasional air travel.

\n

• Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work around industrial equipment safely.

\n

\n

Join a Team That Values Expertise
