Shipping & Receiving Coordinator - Chatsworth, CA

Job Overview

Hubbell is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator for the Chatsworth, CA facility. The incumbent will be part of a growing and diverse team during a time of transition. As part of a recent acquisition, the Chatsworth facility is experiencing exciting change. Our location is looking to add a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to help support the outbound shipping activities of its Chatsworth, CA Manufacturing site. This is an exciting role where the Shipping Coordinator will schedule outbound shipments, create bills of lading, and provide shipping support as needed. Reporting to the Materials Manager, the person hired for this role will need great time management skills, be highly organized and have strong attention to detail. Pay range for this role is $50,000- $60,000 annually.

A Day In The Life

• Manage outbound shipment of orders processed and communicate shipment status to customers.
• Track, trace, and update status of outgoing shipments to customers both internal and external.
• Create bill of lading and maintain internal record-keeping systems.
• Process customer invoicing and coordinating with carriers to ensure timely scheduling of shipments.
• Communicate with logistics vendors and service providers to expedite shipments (via phone and websites).
• Verify orders and shipments and conduct audits as needed.
• Manage multiple priorities with accuracy and be a self-starter.
• Support other customer service functions as needed and be a team player.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience with MS Office including Word and Excel in a work environment
• Experience with databases and spreadsheets
• Strong Customer Service experience with 2-3 years of experience in a customer service-type role
• Great communication skills both verbal and written
• Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a high-volume environment
• Strong analytical, time management and problem-solving skills
