Human Resource Generalist

Minnesota Wire is a family owned custom cable manufacturing organization located in Eau Claire, WI. We are currently looking for a Human Resource Generalist to join our HR team! At Minnesota Wire we are very proud of the culture and have an employee satisfaction rate of over 75%.Major Duties and Responsibilities:Offer assistance to all employees in a friendly and confidential environmentMaintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulationsCommunicates any job changes effectively with HR Administrator, as well as any outside contacts (Insurance, 401K, etc)Assist with enrollment questions for benefits for new hires and during open enrollmentAssure that training records are accurate and up to date for all employeesProvides support and data for audits (401K, EEOC)Assists with organization of and participates in company eventsMay assist with hiring process such as tracking, job ads, and phone interviewsAssists with the onboarding process for new hires including paperwork, I9 verification, drug tests, security doors access, and vending.Data entry to the payroll for both hourly and salaried employees.Provide support for the Human Resource Department.Respond to agencies needing employee information.Training coordinator for all employeesRecord keeping in HRISOther duties as assigned.Expectations:Honest, trustworthy and confidential with all information regarding the Company and the employees.Is example of MN Wire core valuesSelf Motivated but also works well in a team environmentSeeks to improve processesKnowledge and Skills:Experience: Proficient with Microsoft Suite, Paycom experience preferred, 2-4 years of Human Resource ExperienceEducation: Associate degree or equivalent experience, SHRM-CP or PHR preferred Competencies & Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skillsDetail orientated and organizedAbility to prioritize and multitaskBe flexible and responsive to needs of the organizationPreferred bi-lingual in Hmong/English #J-18808-Ljbffr
