Quality Assurance Technician

Q.A Lab Technician Ensure that parts being produced, reworked, or receiving secondary operations conform to all inspection criteria. Perform visual, manual, hands‑on inspections and logging to ensure all parts are within specification. Responsibilities Inspection of parts from each press at designated intervals. Start‑up approvals and last shot inspections. Performing Statistical Process Control (SPC). Monitor SPC data including conformance to control limits. Complete containment of suspect product when defects are detected. Generate Internal Corrective Action Report when necessary. Continuous upkeep of all inspection records, logs, and retains. Marking, tagging, and maintaining reference samples. Ensure that all parts produced meet all inspection criteria. Isolate and properly tag all questionable received components and parts. Follow instructions and procedures for all aspects of the job. Ensure finished secondary parts meet customer requirements. Assist the Shift Supervisor in ensuring work is done correctly. Lead the shift pass‑down meetings at the end of the shift. Communicate necessary issues to the Shift Supervisor and the QA Floor Technician. Other duties that may be assigned by the QA Manager. Work on 2nd shift (2:30 p.m.‑11 p.m., Monday‑Friday) or 3rd shift (10:30 p.m.‑7 a.m., Sunday‑Friday night) as required. Training is offered on 1st shift before moving to designated shift. Requirements Proficiency with inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges, vision machines, gauge pins, gauge blocks, and Windows PC. Understanding of Statistical Process Control. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English. Ability to judge subtle variations in color (color testing performed after hiring and every two (2) years).
