A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.Intrepid Investment Bankers is expanding nationally and seeking to hire a talented and experienced Managing Director to launch and lead our Business & Financial Services practice. The practice will benefit from significant deal flow opportunities generated through the firm’s sponsor coverage, institutional referral relationships, and its parent company’s broad corporate and financial services network, with relationships spanning business services, financial services, legal services, insurance services, human capital management, education and training, real estate services, and other outsourced service sectors.ResponsibilitiesManaging Directors are an important part of Intrepid deal teams, working closely with junior bankers and clients and are involved in all phases of origination and execution including:Building relationships with deal referral sources and business ownersIdentifying, qualifying, and generating new prospect leadsManaging the client relationship and overseeing all client and counter-party communicationLeading a specific practice or product area, as applicable, and developing thought leadership in target sectorsOverseeing all aspects of the transaction Assisting other bankers in firm building activities (training, recruiting, mentoring, etc.)Qualifications10-plus years of experience in sell-side M&A advisoryMinimum 5 years of industry specific M&ADeep understanding of professional and financial services sectorsExtensive record and experience of originating and executing M&A transactions in business and financial services sectorsOutstanding academic credentials from a top tier schoolTeam player willing to take an integral role in Intrepid’s growthExcellent written and oral communications skillsSelf-starter willing to work in an entrepreneurial, demanding, and fast paced environmentAbility to engage with prospects and intermediaries, develop relationships, and work seamlessly as a bridge for introducing other senior bankers into these relationshipsFINRA Series 7, 63 or 79 license, Series 24 preferredThe typical base pay for this role is $275,000 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
