Job Details Level: Entry | Job Location: Ohio Regional Office - Anywhere, OH 00000 | Position Type: Part Time | Education Level: 2 Year Degree | Salary Range: $25.00 - $32.00 Hourly | Travel Percentage: Up to 50% SADD is the Nation’s Premier Youth Health and Safety Organization, working with youth to prevent mobility safety risks, substance misuse, mental health issues, and to develop leadership. Our national team empowers students and adult allies through peer‑to‑peer intervention across 50 states and internationally. We are seeking a new Ohio SADD Community Engagement Specialist to lead outreach, training, and program support statewide. Essential Goals & Functions Assist senior staff in executing grant goals and objectives, coordinating activities, and communicating consistently with state grant representatives. Support SADD chapters by identifying staff advisors, liaising with administrators, advocating for students with boards of education and trustees, assisting with chapter bylaws and first‑meeting agendas, and onboarding new advisors or chapter leadership. Build chapter leadership capacity, produce educational workshops, brainstorm events, and assist with onsite activities. Contribute to a strategic digital footprint, ensuring photos and videos of events are shared with the Communications team for promotion. Participate with State staff and a statewide Student Leadership Council (SLC) by hosting meetings with student leaders to guide projects and ensure tasks align with grant goals. Identify and research outreach opportunities, create partnerships, and schedule programs to engage new chapters, schools, community organizations, and more. Document grant expenditures, complete reporting, time cards, expenses, and related paperwork to meet internal and external deadlines. Collect, record, and manage chapter, participant, event, and demographic data, including pre‑ and post‑surveys for program evaluation. Exhibit professional behavior and a collaborative “Yes, and…” attitude when representing the organization. Additional Activities Serve as the statewide expert trainer in the Shifting Gears program, hosting train‑the‑trainer sessions, coordinating workshops, disseminating data, and conducting outreach to increase program visibility. Assist the Field Engagement team in developing programming, creating and redesigning activity layouts, asset design, and training materials for students or adults. Support National initiatives, including awareness campaigns, programmatic funding opportunities, National SLC, and conferences that elevate student leaders. Perform other duties as needed and assigned. Requirements Required AS/AA or degree in progress in health or human services, education, sociology/psychology, policy, public affairs, or equivalent. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; nights and weekends may be required. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Canva, Adobe, Grammarly, and related tools. Must pass a Federal SAM and background check. Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance; reliable transportation beyond mass transit required. Preferred Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Proven experience in education, prevention, or youth advocacy, public policy, program or curriculum development, healthcare, or a related field. License and/or Certification in the relevant field. Direct experience working with youth populations. Grant funded through 9/30/26, with potential continuance through FY27. Hours: Flexible; at least 15 hours per week, no more than 30 without approval. Salary Range: $25 - $32 Hourly.
