Regional Supervisor for STEM/Technology Summer Camps

Regional Supervisor for STEM/Technology Summer Camps Position is a summer seasonal role responsible for supervising instructors and interacting with students, parents, and program directors across multiple sites within the region. Responsibilities Supervise instructors during the summer camp sessions. Manage schedules or events for programs. Provide feedback to and evaluate teachers of all levels. Attend limited evening meetings in May prior to summer, one Saturday kickoff meeting, and one Saturday face‑to‑face start training meeting. Travel to multiple sites (e.g., Tidewater Community College locations) within the Northern Virginia area; travel expenses may be reimbursed. Participate in training provided by Black Rocket on leadership skills and educational coaching models. Qualifications 21 years of age or older. Background as a school supervisor, administrator, teacher leader, or similar. K‑12 school or similar experience required. Experience managing/coaching adults. Experience managing schedules or planning events. Comfortable with a range of technology, including a variety of software (ideal but not required). Comfortable traveling to multiple sites within the region during the day. Knowledge of effective instructional practices. Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of relevant work experience. Availability to commit to the entire summer season (week after local schools let out through the week before school starts back), as well as limited evening meetings in May, one Saturday kickoff meeting, and online training starting in May. Benefits Paid tolls. Partial mileage reimbursement for all travel. Employee discounts available for select Black Rocket Camps. Compensation Rate: $23/hr – $26/hr.
