Must-Have: Successful completion of a dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to contract signing; Must score 80% or higher

Description: Float Pool encompasses various units including MedSurg, Telemetry, and PCU. Inpatient care includes patients holding in the emergency department. The Nurse-Patient Ratio is 1:4 in PCU and 1:5-6 in MedSurg Tele. Common patient populations include geriatric and orthopedic patients. Experience with post-procedural patients is important. Nurses will manage titratable drips such as Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin. There will be a charge nurse on each unit who does not take patient assignments. Nurse aids will be utilized across all settings. The unit has equipment such as CPAP and BiPAP. Nurses are required to interpret telemetry strips as monitor techs oversee monitoring. Schedule flexibility is necessary as scheduling is managed by a designated team. Every other weekend shift is required as well as participation in holiday rotations. Travelers will be notified of unit assignments two hours prior to the start of their shift. Currently, the dress code is solid color professional scrubs, transitioning to navy scrubs. The charting system used requires familiarity with Cerner. This role does not require a BSN.
