The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting medical staff in various clinical settings. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and patient care practices. The Medical Assistant will work closely with patients to ensure their comfort and assist with their healthcare needs. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and answering questions. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Administer medications as directed by physicians or nursing staff. Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis. Assist in managing patient flow within the clinic or urgent care setting. Ensure cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment. Provide education to patients regarding treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care. Prepare and prep charts for daily patient care Experience Candidates should possess the following skills and knowledge: Proficiency in medical-surgical practices and urgent care protocols. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to various specialties including dermatology, emergency medicine, and inpatient care. Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology to effectively assist in patient assessments. Experience in taking vital signs accurately and efficiently. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and medical staff. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Current or past certification required.
