Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supports participant recovery and functional independence under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. This role involves assisting with clinical assessments, implementing care plans, and delivering therapy services both at WelbeHealth centers and in participants' homes. The COTA works collaboratively within the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, personalized care. Key Responsibilities Administer therapy treatment programs based on plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist Assist in obtaining vital signs, conducting range of motion and strength testing Provide occupational therapy interventions using adaptive techniques, exercises, devices, and ADL (Activities of Daily Living) re-training Coordinate therapy schedules, clinical visits, and support billing documentation Maintain and track therapy equipment and supplies Collaborate with the rehabilitation team and broader IDT for holistic participant care Document participant progress accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements Job Requirements Associate Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program (foreign degrees must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency) Valid California Occupational Therapy Assistant License or proof of eligibility Minimum 2 years of experience as a COTA in a clinical setting, preferably with frail or elderly populations Strong knowledge of therapy techniques to treat geriatric participants with complex health needs Reliable transportation for occasional home visits or therapy sessions #J-18808-Ljbffr
