Embark on a rewarding journey supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic school environment. This contract opportunity, based near Litchfield Park, AZ, is designed for passionate educators who are committed to making a lasting difference in young learners' lives. You'll work onsite throughout the current school year with a full-time, 40-hour weekly schedule, helping a dedicated elementary caseload reach their fullest potential.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Special Education Teacher license valid in Arizona
- AZ IVP Fingerprint Card (required)
- Previous experience teaching elementary students in a special education setting is highly valued
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
What You'll Do:
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs
- Employ evidence-based instructional strategies to promote student engagement and growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to enhance learning outcomes
- Conduct ongoing assessments and progress monitoring, adapting approaches as necessary
- Cultivate a positive, respectful classroom atmosphere that celebrates diversity and encourages self-advocacy
- Participate in IEP meetings and professional development to stay current with best practices
