Installation Manager

Role Description

OPEX Corporation is currently seeking a dynamic, experienced Installation Manager to oversee the successful deployment of advanced automated storage, retrieval, and conveying systems. This is a high-impact, highly visible role where you’ll play a critical part in bringing complex systems to life from early planning through installation, commissioning, and full operational handoff. This remote position requires 50% travel both domestically and internationally.

• Oversee installation, commissioning, integration, and final system handoff to ensure successful project completion.
• Manage timelines, milestones, and deliverables while ensuring projects stay on track and within budget.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and improve overall installation processes.
• Work closely with engineering, project coordinators, installation teams, and external vendors to ensure alignment and efficiency.
• Build strong, lasting relationships with customers by providing expert guidance and support throughout the lifecycle of each project.
• Plan and allocate labor, materials, and equipment needed for successful installation and execution.
• Perform site surveys to evaluate feasibility, identify risks, and proactively solve challenges before installation begins.
• Visit and support active installation sites, ensuring high-quality execution and resolving issues in real time.
• Ensure smooth ramp-up into production and successful handoff to service teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing installations in material handling, conveying, or industrial automation environments.
• Must be able to travel domestically and internationally for extended periods.
• Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering on time and within budget.
• Technical understanding of automated systems and electromechanical equipment is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams, including remote personnel.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and influence cross-functional teams.
