Job Summary:
A Respiratory Therapist position is available in a healthcare facility located in Wausau, Wisconsin. The role involves providing care and support within a Post Surgical Care Unit. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This position is a 13-week contract, starting as soon as possible, and requires working a rotating 12-hour shift schedule with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12 hour Day/Night rotating shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC). Candidates must have at least 2+ years of Medical Surgical (Med Surg) experience, recent hospital experience, Trauma level II experience, prior travel experience, and proficiency with Epic electronic medical records (EMR).
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Experience: 0 years required (minimum experience explicitly stated as 2+ years Med Surg experience).
• Additional Information: Contract length is 13 weeks, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. Float rotations include all inpatient units, and low census hours are authorized in 4-hour increments. During flu season, vaccination is mandatory; decliners must wear masks at all times. GSA hours are not guaranteed during orientation week.
• Physical Location: 333 PINE RIDGE BLVD, WAUSAU, WI 54401.
• Additional responsibilities: The role involves multitasking, prioritizing patient care based on acuity, and working effectively as part of a team. Candidates must be flexible to work holidays every other week and adhere to the facility's mask policy during flu season.
