How you will contribute You will be part of a globally respected team to resolve complex forensic accounting, economic damages, and financial investigations related to merger and acquisition issues. You will work with global insurance companies and their counsel to understand insured merger & acquisition claims, determine financial damages, and build consultative relationships. Responsibilities include: Managing, sorting through and analyzing significant volumes of data and other information. Assist in developing and evaluating claims, damages and calculations. Analyze existing financial models and other analyses to determine business valuations and damages. Create new financial models based on business issues or transactions being analyzed. Assist with drafting reports and findings including the preparation of tables, exhibits and charts. Perform reviews of and evaluating expert submissions. Assist with researching technical and industry specific issues. Document assumptions, methodologies, and sources of information used for analyses. Assist with the drafting of client deliverables using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other applications. Develop and suggest solutions to complex problems by thinking “outside the box.” Balance multiple client projects and other responsibilities. Communicate proactively and effectively to all levels of the team. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics. CPA designation/eligibility preferred. Certifications in CFE or CFF are preferred. 3-6 years of experience in Big 4 or national accounting firm, forensic and disputes consulting practice. Transactional financial due diligence experience a plus. Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Effective interpersonal skills—good team player with the ability to work under pressure and seek guidance when needed. Ability and willingness to maintain a flexible work schedule to meet client needs. The team works on a hybrid schedule, remote and in office.
