Job Title 1st Shift Fabrication Material Coordinator 1 Location & Schedule Hobart, IN (US-IN-Hobart) Full Time, 1st Shift (Monday‑Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM; Saturdays as required) Responsibilities The Fabrication Material Coordinator 1 performs support tasks for the Fabrication Department. Use basic math to calculate labor and material requirements. Maintain inventory records for production materials and supplies. Maintain training records and departmental paperwork. Order out‑of‑stock materials. Create and change work orders. Update safety and production matrix documentation. Oversee 5‑7 employees reporting to the Material Coordinator 1. Oversee cycle counts, audits, scrap, adjustments and NCN disposition. Oversee ISO check list. Manage and prioritize work using Wynsoft. Program, set up, and schedule sheet metal parts for laser cutting with AutoCAD Inventor and SigmaNest. Work closely with supervisor to maintain accurate sheet metal inventory. Perform additional duties assigned by manager. Ensure compliance with Daifuku QMS policies and procedures. Drive continuous improvement for sustainable process outputs and customer satisfaction. Qualifications Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment. Minimum 2‑3 years experience with SAP and Wynsoft. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel). Ability to perform basic math. Ability to work independently with little supervision. Ability to multi‑task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines. Good verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Self‑motivated and detail‑oriented. Team orientation. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities daily.
