1st Shift Inventory Investigator

Responsibilities Position Summary: Inventory Investigators; under general supervision, investigate and distribute material shortages for Inventory Department of Daifuku's Conveyors Shop. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Performing material expediting and transaction verification for urgent/priority work order requirements Investigating databases, locating materials, and distributing to departments as required Running critical material reports, coordinating movement and obtaining status and location of critical material Following up on past due material and preparing daily reports to supervisor of material delays affecting work orders Performing clerical duties, and maintaining accurate records and files of activities Receiving, unpacking, and delivering goods; re-stocking items as necessary; labeling shelves May lead, guide, and train staff, student employees, and interns performing related work Performing other duties as assigned based on Inventory Department needs Employees are responsible to comply with all requirements of Daifuku’s QMS policies and procedures Employees are to ensure sustainable process outputs that drive continuous improvement to provide leading industry performance and exceptional customer satisfaction Qualifications Education and Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements: Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and programs Detail-oriented, organized and thorough Ability to multi-task and provide team support Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data Ability to analyze and solve problems Ability to receive, stock, and/or deliver goods Clerical, word processing, and/or office skills Good interpersonal skills for working with various departments Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language ADA Requirements Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles. Kneeling: Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees. Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine. Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time. Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another. Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles. Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm. Visual: The worker is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles. Visual: The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures.
