Responsibilities include: Perform history and physical examinations on new and return patients; establish presumptive diagnoses and order appropriate laboratory studies and testing. Work in collaboration with physicians to formulate treatment plans and follow‑up. Conduct comprehensive or episodic health assessments and develop patient care plans within clinical nursing practice and medical care protocols; review and assess patient medications. Evaluate outcomes of care delivered to patients and initiate changes in the nursing approach accordingly. Triage clinic patient calls, notify physicians of needs, and follow up with patients as directed. Qualifications Current Ohio Registered Nursing License. Master’s degree in nursing and successful completion of an acceptable Nurse Practitioner education program or Physician Assistant Program. Ideally 2–3 years of experience as a nurse practitioner. Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or PA, including Prescriptive Authority. Knowledge of triage procedures and experience in a clinic, physician office, and/or urgent care setting. Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards. Knowledge of appropriate procedures and standards for the administration of medications and patient care aids. Ability to educate and clearly communicate with patients and/or families about disease and treatment. Strong written and verbal communication skills; high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Poise, tact, and diplomacy in patient interactions. Analytical ability and critical thinking to gather and interpret data and develop, recommend, and implement solutions.
