Location: Yardville, NJ
Employment Type: Part-Time, Variable Hour
Schedule: Tuesday–Thursday, 10:00 AM–2:00 PM & Saturday, 1:00 PM–5:00 PM

Home To Stay is seeking a compassionate and dependable CHHA to support a client in Yardville, NJ. The client has dementia and benefits from patient supervision, companionship, gentle reminders, and assistance with daily routines.

The caregiver will also provide support while the client's husband steps away for errands or personal time. A patient, attentive caregiver who is comfortable with memory impairment is important for this household.

What this Client needs

• Experience caring for individuals with dementia or memory impairment

• Patient, attentive caregiver who can provide supervision and safety support

• Assistance with personal care and activities of daily living

• Assistance with ambulation and fall-risk awareness

• Toileting, hygiene, dressing, and showering assistance as needed

• Gentle reminders and encouragement with daily routines

• Light meal preparation and household tasks related to the client

• Comfortable working around cats

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and conversation

• Offer gentle reminders and encouragement with daily routines

• Prepare simple meals and assist with dishes and kitchen cleanup

• Keep patient areas tidy and clean up messes made during the shift

• Assist with laundry, changing bed linens, and making the bed as needed

• Provide medication reminders according to the care plan

• Sit with the client while her husband goes shopping or attends to personal needs

• Document care provided according to the care plan

Requirements

• Active New Jersey CHHA certification

• Reliable transportation

• Dementia care experience preferred

• Patient, compassionate, and dependable

• Comfortable assisting with personal care and ADLs

• Comfortable providing supervision and safety support

• Comfortable working in a home with cats

• Strong personality fit for the client and household
