The Position: Richards is now seeking a motivated and results-oriented Purchasing Agent to help us elevate our Core Richards business based in Cincinnati. This business is comprised of the Jordan Valve, Low Flow, Steriflow, Steriflow Food & Beverage, Marwin, Hex, and Bestobell product lines. The Purchasing Agent will report directly to Richards' Supply Chain Manager. They will be responsible for the following: Purchasing direct and indirect commodities and/or services and delivering the best overall business value Continually working to improve quality, delivery, and costs of products and services Assuring problems related to delivery, quality, or pricing are properly resolved Issue Purchase orders from ERP system with correct GL codes assigned Maintain up to date records on vendor terms, pricing, special requirements or agreements. Ensure proper inventory levels of assigned commodities to meet on time delivery requirements Ensure orders are up to date in system Review invoices for purchased commodities and ensure documentation is correct Utilize material requirement planning systems Qualifications Include: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent professional experience Excel knowledge Negotiation and communication skills Ability to adapt communication and management styles depending on vendor personalities Attention to detail Knowledge of MRP, PC, and database programs Personal Characteristics: Strong work ethic Calm and resilient Organized and detail-oriented Motivated and proactive Disciplined Committed to meeting customer needs and providing exceptional service Committed to Continuous Improvement Outstanding Problem Solver Adaptable, able to thrive in a dynamic work environment Why would this role be exciting for me?
