Key Qualifications:

• Current, active Special Education Teaching credentials in California (required)
• Previous experience with high school-age students (9th–12th grade) preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Ability to foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
• Passion for working with diverse learners and meeting their unique needs

Core Responsibilities:

• Develop, modify, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student strengths and challenges
• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction aligned with students’ academic and developmental levels
• Work closely with general education teachers, administrators, and families to maximize student success
• Track and report student progress, maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Support social, emotional, and behavioral growth through proactive classroom management strategies
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training
