Staff Accountant (Contract)
$38 per hourVaco Charlotte
Vaco Los Angeles is partnering with a confidential client to identify an experienced Staff Accountant to support a major accounting clean-up initiative. This role is ideal for someone who excels in high-volume reconciliations, complex problem-solving, and stabilizing incomplete or inaccurate financial data. The contract role can pay up to $38/hr, depending on experience. NetSuite experience is a must. Location will be hybrid in Hollywood, CA. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Perform month-end and year-end close activities
- Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and general ledger accounts
- Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable as needed
- Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules
- Support financial statement preparation and variance analysis
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and GAAP
- Assist with audits and special accounting projects
- Utilize NetSuite for daily accounting functions, reporting, and reconciliationsQualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5 years of accounting experience
- Strong experience with NetSuite required
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
