Senior Manufacturing Engineer

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing processes that support the production of high-reliability Aerospace & Defense products. You will partner with product development, operations, quality, and supply chain teams to successfully launch new products, improve manufacturing performance, and deliver exceptional value to our customers. Through technical leadership and innovation, you will drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost while supporting products throughout their lifecycle.

You will join a collaborative engineering organization focused on delivering innovative interconnect solutions for Aerospace & Defense customers worldwide. Our team works closely with product development, manufacturing, quality, and operations to ensure products are designed and built to meet rigorous industry standards, customer requirements, and performance expectations in demanding environments.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading the development and implementation of manufacturing processes that ensure safe, efficient, and reliable production of Aerospace & Defense products.
• Driving successful new product introductions by partnering with design engineering teams to develop scalable and robust manufacturing solutions.
• Championing continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality, increase productivity, reduce waste, and improve operational performance.
• Providing technical leadership in solving complex manufacturing challenges related to equipment, processes, materials, and product performance.
• Collaborating across engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain teams to improve manufacturability and accelerate production readiness.
• Influencing manufacturing strategy through process innovation, automation opportunities, and implementation of best practices.
• Supporting process validation, qualification, and capability improvement activities to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Leading root cause investigations and corrective action efforts that improve reliability, yield, and overall manufacturing performance.
• Mentoring engineers, technicians, and operators while fostering a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Five (5) or more years of experience in a manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or operations engineering role.
• Experience supporting manufacturing processes in a regulated or high-quality production environment.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects focused on process improvement, new product introduction, or manufacturing optimization.
• Experience utilizing analytical problem-solving methods to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
• Experience within the Aerospace & Defense, military, aerospace electronics, avionics, or other high-reliability manufacturing industries.
• Experience supporting connector, cable assembly, electromechanical, or electronic component manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of AS9100, IPC standards, First Article Inspection (FAI), and other Aerospace & Defense manufacturing requirements.
• Experience with process validation, PFMEA, Control Plans, and statistical process control methodologies.
• Experience implementing automation, robotics, vision systems, or advanced manufacturing technologies.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, or equivalent continuous improvement experience.
• Experience leading New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from prototype through full-rate production.
• Demonstrated success improving safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance within a manufacturing environment.
