Our US BioPharma Respiratory and Immunology (R&I) Team tackles respiratory diseases such as asthma, COPD, and IPF, along with inflammatory and autoimmune conditions including psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, gout, systemic lupus, and rheumatoid arthritis. Main Duties And Responsibilities Develop superior product and disease‑state knowledge and effectively educate and engage healthcare professionals about clinical evidence, approved indications, and product efficacy/safety profiles to support on‑label prescribing. Function independently with sales proficiency to drive performance, ensuring sales forecasts and assigned budgets meet or exceed therapeutic and territory expectations. Successfully complete training requirements, including product examinations. Develop and maintain in‑depth knowledge of market, demographic, and managed‑care information for your assigned sales territory. Partner with your District Sales Manager and Regional Sales Director to develop a local strategy and business plan that generates recognizable increases in territory sales. Capitalize on formulary approvals and other opportunities by implementing Strategic Targeting Plans with promotional, personnel, and analytical tools based on local patient needs. Provide special education to healthcare providers through programs that follow AstraZeneca’s ethical guidelines. Collaborate with other Pharmaceutical Sales Specialists to coordinate selling efforts toward common objectives. Essential Requirements Bachelor’s degree A driver’s license and safe driving record 0–2+ years of sales experience Desirable Requirements Knowledge of the medical, healthcare, or pharmacy industry and clinical skills, preferably within respiratory therapeutic areas Prior sales experience Strong organizational and communication skills Demonstrated leadership Exemplified judgment and decision‑making capability Result‑oriented with demonstrated time‑management skills Ability to learn, analyze, understand, and convey complex information Our mission is to build an inclusive environment where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and employees.
