Registered Nurse RN Federal Correctional Institution Oxford WI

Position Overview CLFC Healthcare & Communications is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care at a federal correctional institution in Oxford, Wisconsin. FCI Oxford is a medium-security federal correctional institution with an adjacent minimum-security satellite camp in rural central Wisconsin. You will deliver patient assessments, medication administration, wound care, chronic disease management support, and emergency nursing response for the incarcerated population. Key Responsibilities Conduct nursing assessments, triage sick call requests, and implement treatment plans Administer medications including controlled substances with accurate documentation Perform wound care, phlebotomy, IV therapy, and point-of-care testing Monitor patients on chronic care protocols including insulin-dependent diabetes and anticoagulation therapy Respond to medical emergencies and provide BLS/ACLS-level nursing care Conduct intake health screenings and tuberculosis testing Coordinate care between physicians, mid-level providers, and specialty consultants Maintain documentation in the BOP electronic health record Required Qualifications ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program Active, unrestricted Wisconsin RN license (or ability to obtain) Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred) Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience U.S. citizenship required Ability to pass federal background investigation Preferred Qualifications Correctional nursing or emergency department experience BSN or higher preferred CCHP certification Compensation and Benefits Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 annually Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off, holiday pay, malpractice coverage Professional development and CE support About CLFC Healthcare & Communications CLFC Healthcare & Communications provides healthcare staffing and language access services to federal, state, and local government agencies nationwide.
