About the Rol e:Select Electric, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to successfully plan, oversee, and execute assigned electrical projects while providing leadership and direction to Superintendents, Field Foremen, and Project Engineers to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedul e. Key Responsibiliti es:Key amongst his/her duties is the recognition that risk directly impacts the likelihood of success and that this risk must be both formally and informally measured throughout the lifetime of the project. Maintain open lines of communicati on.Responsible for making decisions both small and large, in such a way that risk is controlled and uncertainty minimiz ed.Responsible for all assigned projects (e.g. highway, traffic signal, and communications) to establish and ensure budgets, schedules, materials, sub-contractors and crews are on target and profitable for all assigned jo bs.Monitors overall quantity and quality of work performed on all assigned jo bs.Ultimate responsibility for the review and approval of all expenses for each assigned job; ensure they are applied to the proper job and phase co de.Provides guidance and direction to the billing department as needed; e.g. provide schedule of values, answer questions on applied costs or billing requirements per the contra ct.Oversees process for changes orders and other circumstances changing the scope of work and payment for such chang es.Monitors contract compliance for each job to ensure the company is protected regarding liabilities matters and liens (collection matter s).Serves as senior technical advis or.Participates in resolving difficult issues or start-up proble ms.Responsible for all personnel transactions (hiring, transfers, wages, etc.) on assigned projec ts.Responsible for resolving labor disputes and related negotiations as requi redEnsures compliance with all company policies and procedur es.Implements safety programs as directed by the Safety Departme nt.Responsible for verifying that craft and supervision assigned to the projects are completing the appropriate training progra ms.Follows and ensures compliance with all company safety program requiremen ts.Promotes safety among peers, subordinates and superviso rs,Performs additional assignments at the direction of the Division Manager and/or Vice Preside nt. Qualificati ons:A a high school diploma or GED equivalent requi red.Construction Management Bachelor’s degree preferred but not requi red.A 4-year engineering degree preferred but not requi red.Primavera Scheduling or similar scheduling softw are.Accubid or similar estimating software experie nce.Spectrum program, or equivalent, experie nce.Possess or ability to obtain a valid class C California driver's license and a California Electrical Certification (Journeyman’s Licen se).A minimum of 8 years’ experience in similar type construction environment requi red.Proven experience in effectively managing construction personnel and proje cts.Proven experience in effectively managing the financial aspects of jobs to ensure the best possible pro fit.Proven experience in understanding and effectively managing contracts to ensure compliance with terms and protect the company’s rights in lien and collection matt ers.Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, planning and analytical skills requi red.Must possess a combination of skills including an ability to ask penetrating questions, detect unstated assumptions and resolve interpersonal conflicts as well as more systematic management ski lls.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, walk, stand and sit for prolong peri ods.The employee is frequently required to use hands to fingers, handle or feel and reach with hands and a rms.Ability to operate a motor vehicle, requi red.
