Travel Radiology X-Ray Tech Job

Overview
Radiology Technologist – X-Ray, Mount Clemens, MI, US. This travel assignment starts 06/15/2026 and runs for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $1,875 to $2,009 with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Shift is Afternoons, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, five days per week (5x8). The setting is a hospital-based radiology department.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and participate in all CT imaging procedures; set up, monitor, and operate CT equipment per patient protocols.
- Transfer and position patients using proper safety lifting techniques; apply immobilization devices as needed.
- Obtain required patient identification and relevant medical history; note known allergies.
- Prepare and, when needed, administer contrast media intravenously according to radiologist protocol.
- Create and develop images for the patient’s permanent file; record all studies for reference.
- Maintain image quality and perform daily calibration/quality control per department guidelines and MRMC protocols.
- Manage electronic/digital image capture, storage, transfer, and copy; ensure accuracy of study documentation.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions to contrast; respond appropriately and assist with emergency situations, including basic CPR.
- Uphold safety standards for patients and staff per applicable health regulations; maintain a clean and stocked work environment.
- Instruct new personnel as needed; assist Radiologists and other medical staff with specialized imaging procedures.
- Review and record pertinent patient history to aid Radiologists in diagnosis; maintain regulatory compliance for imaging registries.
- Participate in quality assessment and continuous improvement activities within the department.

Requirements
- 2+ years of radiography/X-ray experience
- ARRT certification and BLS required
- Michigan-specific license verification or verification from the applicable state board
- Weekend/afternoon travel assignment experience preferred
- Ability to safely lift and transfer patients, and work in a fast-paced radiology environment
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with Radiologists and medical staff; strong patient care and safety focus
