Diesel Mechanic

Primary Objective We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic with a solid background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, and additional experience with hydraulic systems. The role involves servicing, diagnosing, and repairing our fleet of vehicles and equipment to keep them operating safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and related components. Diagnose mechanical issues and conduct necessary repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems. Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify potential problems or safety concerns. Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot complex engine and hydraulic issues. Ensure all repairs are completed accurately and efficiently, following company standards and safety protocols. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work, including parts used and labor hours. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding repair status and maintenance tasks. Assist with other duties as needed, including occasional company vehicle operation. Key Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal diesel mechanic training program preferred. Proven experience as a diesel mechanic with a strong understanding of diesel engine and hydraulic systems. Hydraulic experience is a plus. Possession of a valid CDL is a plus. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify engine and hydraulic issues. Solid mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Willingness to travel between the two office locations (Rocky Hill, CT / Haverhill, MA).
