Material Handler 1st shift

We are seeking for material handlers for both 1st shift to support a warehouse in the Calabasas area.  In this role, you will be moving materials and/or  assembling medical devices.  If you enjoy working for as a team, this role is for you!  Also, in this role the position requires steel toe boots. We have several positions across 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts. Hours: 6am-2:30pm M-F 1st    

salary: $19.5 - $20.5 per hour

Responsibilities

The role is focused on the day-to-day physical handling of inventory to keep the supply chain moving smoothly. The core responsibilities break down into three main areas:

• Inbound & Outbound Logistics: Safely receiving incoming goods, sorting and stacking them in the correct warehouse locations, and accurately picking and packing items to fulfill work orders and dispatches.
• Inventory Control: Moving and transferring products safely through the facility while tracking item counts to ensure accuracy, material security, and inventory accountability.
• Safety & Compliance: Executing all tasks strictly by the book, following established safety protocols and quality guidelines (with no deviation from standard procedures) to protect both the staff and the medical-grade products.

Essentially, it is a hands-on, procedural role centered around getting the right components safely to the right place at the right time.

Preferred

• 1–2 years of prior experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing inventory environment.
• Experience operating standard material handling equipment (e.g., hand trucks, pallet jacks, or forklift certification).
• Basic familiarity with inventory tracking software, ERP systems (like Oracle or SAP), or RF barcode scanners.
• experience working within a Quality Management System (QMS) environment, such as medical devices (ISO 13485) or pharmaceuticals, is a plus but not required

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• standing for 6 hours at one time
