Site Maintenance Manager

The Site Maintenance Manager will report to the Reliability and Performance Manager and will be based in Morgantown, WV. This position involves various engineering responsibilities at the Power Plant. The individual will collaborate in team and independent settings to support the operation, upkeep, and enhancement of the facility. Utilizing existing engineering expertise and experience to contribute to a range of assignments.

Key Responsibilities

• Gain insight into plant equipment, processes, and personnel through cross-training in operations, maintenance, and material handling.
• Collaborate with various departments to identify and address abnormal equipment conditions.
• Offer technical guidance on processes, maintenance activities, and projects to Operations and Maintenance teams.
• Contribute to project development and assessment of material supply and installation proposals.
• Manage project execution both independently and as a team.
• Support project implementation within budget and schedule parameters.
• Coordinate with contractors for testing and maintenance tasks.
• Participate in station programs and activities such as Root Cause Analysis, equipment evaluation, and outage planning and execution.
• Collaborate with the Reliability and Performance team to implement predictive maintenance technologies.
• Adhere to all permit obligations and engineering standards.
• Maintain backlog of assigned Work Orders.
• Work with all plant departments to constantly improve processes and procedures.
• Contribute to Management of Change initiatives and improvements.
• Ensure adherence to OSHA safety regulations.
• Research and propose new monitoring and maintenance methods and technologies.
• Generate Work Orders and Purchase Requisitions as needed.
• Maintain and share technical knowledge, and apply new technology cost-effectively.
• Stay abreast of competitive business practices and industry trends.
• Pursue continuous learning and professional development.
• Adapt to organizational changes and take accountability for decisions, performance, and conduct.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in relevant Engineering Discipline or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience (preferably in Power Generation) with an Engineering Degree, or 10+ years of experience in a Technical Role in Power Generation.
• Proficiency in interpreting drawings, schematics, and trends.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Project Management experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with software applications like OSIsoft PI, AutoCAD, Intertek AWARE, Maximo, Emerson Ovation, TapRoot.
• Sound knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and mechanical systems.
• Extensive experience with various software applications including Excel, Word, MS Outlook, Powerpoint, Access.
• Ability to work productively both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective team facilitation and organization.
• Capacity to handle high-pressure situations and work extended hours at short notice when necessary.
