The Role
We're hiring an experienced Acoustical Ceiling Installer to lay out and install suspended ceiling systems on commercial projects, including healthcare, office, retail, and institutional work. If you take pride in a straight grid and a clean finished ceiling, we want to talk to you.
What You'll Do
- Read and interpret reflected ceiling plans (RCPs), architectural drawings, and specs
- Lay out ceiling heights and grid using laser levels and establish control lines
- Install hanger wire, main runners, cross tees, and wall angle to spec and seismic requirements where applicable
- Cut and install acoustical ceiling tile (ACT), including border cuts, tegular edges, and specialty panels
- Coordinate with MEP trades for lights, diffusers, sprinkler heads, and access panels
- Install specialty systems as needed: drywall grid, clouds, baffles, and wood or metal specialty ceilings
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
- Protect finished work and handle punch list items quickly
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of commercial acoustical ceiling installation experience
- Solid ability to read blueprints and RCPs
- Skilled with laser levels, powder-actuated tools, and hand and power tools
- Comfortable working on lifts, scaffolding, and ladders
- Able to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet all day
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Your own hand tools
- OSHA 10 preferred; lift certification a plus
- Experience with metal stud framing or drywall is a plus
