ELECTRONICS MECHANIC
U.S. Marine Corps
DutiesIndependently perform depot level overhaul, disassembly, repair, modification, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, alignment, installation, and maintenance on electronic systems of greater complexity.Maintain ongoing prototype systems as well as implement maintenance and repair procedures on major modifications of systems previously assigned to the activity.Work from manufacturer's specifications, schematics, block diagrams, and technical orders, determine the operation of circuits, locate points from which to take readings, and analyze circuit layout to complete necessary visual inspection.Serve as a subject matter expert in providing technical assistance to engineering personnel in resolving problems, as well as conducting formal training regarding proper use of components/systems.
