The ideal candidate will have a strong background in troubleshooting and diagnostics, with a focus on identifying and resolving electrical problems. They will also have experience in conducting preventive maintenance and adhering to electrical codes and safety regulations.What Your Day-to-Day Will Look LikeConduct troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify electrical problems and determine the cause of malfunctions or breakdownsInspect electrical systems, use testing equipment, and interpret wiring diagrams to diagnose and resolve issuesRepair or replace faulty electrical components, such as switches, outlets, circuit breakers, motors, and lighting fixturesPerform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure proper functioning and identify potential issuesAdhere to local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations to maintain compliance and promote safe working conditionsCollaborate with other maintenance technicians, such as HVAC technicians, plumbers, or carpenters, to troubleshoot electrical issues that may arise in conjunction with their workDocument all maintenance activities, repairs, and installations performed, as well as maintain an inventory of electrical supplies and equipmentStay updated on industry trends, advancements in electrical technology, safety practices, and regulations through ongoing training and professional developmentRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentCertified electrician with a valid electrical licenseProven experience as a maintenance electrician or similar roleStrong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and troubleshooting techniquesFamiliarity with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulationsAbility to read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manualsProficiency in using testing equipment and tools for diagnosticsExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPhysical stamina to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditionsAvailability to work in an on-call rotation or respond to emergency electrical repairs when neededWork Schedule:Location: Onsite at Detroit, MIWork Shift: 1st shiftThis position does not provide visa sponsorship.
