This position is dedicated to advancing strategic recruitment partnerships and initiatives across the university, with a specialized focus on our Facilities teams. Through talent intelligence, sourcing expertise, and relationship-driven outreach, the Talent Engagement Specialist helps ensure FSU is positioned to meet highly technical, operational, and mission-critical staffing needs across a large and evolving campus environment.

In this role, you'll help FSU attract and engage talent for critical operational, technical, and leadership positions, with a primary focus on Facilities. Your work will directly support the teams who maintain and enhance the physical environments where students learn, researchers innovate, and campus life thrives.

What You'll Do

Strategic Sourcing & Talent Research

• Develop targeted sourcing strategies to identify passive talent for specialized, technical, and leadership roles, with a primary focus on Facilities staffing needs.
• Conduct talent mapping, market research, and advanced searches to build high-quality candidate pools.
• Leverage digital platforms, AI-enabled tools, and sourcing technology to expand reach and accelerate candidate engagement.

Candidate Engagement & Pipeline Development

• Build and maintain talent pipelines for key workforce areas, including operations, skilled trades, technical specialists, and Facilities leadership.
• Create targeted outreach campaigns and refine messaging based on candidate engagement and response data.
• Represent FSU's employment brand through professional, responsive, and engaging candidate interactions.

Recruitment Partnership & Strategy

• Partner with Facilities leadership, HR Representatives, and hiring managers to understand current and future workforce needs.
• Provide market insights, talent availability data, and sourcing recommendations to support recruitment decisions.
• Align sourcing efforts with FSU's Talent Acquisition strategy and broader university priorities.

Technology, Analytics & Continuous Improvement

• Use CRM, ATS, LinkedIn, Indeed, and other digital recruitment platforms to execute and manage sourcing campaigns.
• Organize and segment prospective candidates for current and future opportunities.
• Track outreach, engagement, and conversion metrics and provide regular updates to Talent Acquisition leadership and Facilities partners.
• Continuously improve sourcing strategies based on recruitment data, workforce trends, and stakeholder feedback.

Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field and two years of experience in strategic sourcing, senior level recruiting, or talent acquisition; or a high school diploma or equivalent and the same experience equal to six years.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to source, engage, and cultivate relationships with passive candidates across niche, technical, and leadership talent markets.
• Familiarity with ATS and CRM platforms.
• Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Avature, Beamery, or Yello.
• Certifications such as AIRS, LinkedIn Certified Recruiter, or SHRM-CP.
• Advanced sourcing methodologies
• Talent mapping and market research
• CRM/ATS proficiency

Anticipated Salary Range


Starting at $50,000, commensurate with education and experience.
