An exciting opportunity to join the Executive Team of a progressive YMCA association located in vibrant Somerset County, New Jersey. Hillsborough YMCA is currently seeking energetic and motivational Fitness Floor Supervisors to support our mission in strengthening the community through healthy living. As a Fitness Floor Supervisor you will provide member service, guidance and leadership to all members and participants in the Wellness Center. You are responsible to maintain a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes member wellness and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.

Essential Functions

• Provides a high level of customer service greeting each member by first name.
• Enforce the rules posted to help maintain an organized facility.
• Creates a safe, positive, and motivating environment for members and staff.
• Maintains cleanliness and neatness of the wellness area and report any equipment issues.
• Build effective and authentic relationships with members; help members connect with each other and the YMCA.
• Assists with the promotion of YMCA Healthy Living Programs including Personal Training, Chronic Disease Programming, Group Exercise Classes, etc.
• Observe participants and members activities; enforce safety regulations and positively explain and interpret all YMCA safety policies.
• Walk through and monitor the Wellness Center periodically.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Working knowledge of body mechanics and physical fitness principles preferred.
• CPR, First Aid and AED Certifications or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with members and staff.
