We are looking for a Billing Specialist to join a construction-focused team in Mckinney, Texas. This position plays an important role in keeping customer invoicing accurate, organized, and on schedule while supporting smooth billing operations across active jobs. The ideal candidate brings hands-on billing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities:
• Generate and distribute customer invoices with a high level of accuracy and within established timelines.
• Enter billing details into company systems and maintain complete, organized records to support each transaction.
• Examine job-related information before invoicing to confirm charges, documentation, and customer details are correct.
• Track billing activity, investigate inconsistencies, and assist with resolving invoice questions or payment-related issues.
• Submit and monitor locate ticket information, making updates as needed to keep records current.
• Maintain documentation tied to utility locates, billing support files, and job records for easy reference and compliance.
• Partner with internal teams to gather missing information and ensure billing is aligned with completed work.
• Provide additional administrative support that helps day-to-day billing and operational processes run smoothly.• At least 2 years of billing experience, ideally within construction or a related project-based industry.
• Practical experience using QuickBooks, including QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Enterprise.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including working with pivot tables and organizing large sets of billing data.
• High accuracy in data entry with the ability to manage detailed financial information.
• Proficiency with Outlook and other standard business software applications.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities with the capacity to handle competing priorities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
