Senior Accountant

San Francisco, CA (onsite)

$45-55/hr

Are you a seasoned accounting professional with experience from the construction or engineering industry? Do you have at least five years of accounting experience and want to support a great team? We are looking for a senior accountant professional for an onsite role here in San Francisco, CA. The ideal candidate will have an accounting degree, at least five years of work experience, and Deltek software experience. If you are interested in more details please apply today!

Key Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Oversee project and job cost accounting for engineering projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, variance reports, and project profitability reports
• Maintain and support Deltek system functionality, including project setup, cost tracking, revenue recognition, and reporting
• Collaborate with project managers to review budgets, labor utilization, WIP, and project forecasts
• Support audits, tax filings, and internal controls, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of accounting experience within the engineering, architecture, or professional services industry
• Hands-on experience with Deltek Costpoint and/or Deltek Vision required
• Strong understanding of project accounting, revenue recognition, and job costing
• Advanced Excel skills and experience preparing financial and management reports
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
