Division Conanicut Marina Position Service Operations Manager Who You Are The Service Operations Manager is responsible for all aspects of the boatyard operation, maintenance, and boat service on the property. What You Will Do Determine and maintain staffing needs to perform all functions of boatyard operations in accordance with TPG standards and practices. Ensure the facility and equipment are properly maintained, considering financial impact, aesthetics, and function. Establish and implement high standards of cleanliness and professional service to customers and their vessels. Ensure the boatyard is operated in compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Administer and sell dry storage leases. Maintain adequate records of storage, service, insurance, and sales. Enforce the terms and conditions of agreements as well as the boatyard’s rules and regulations. Assist in preparing budget projections, operate within the budget, and prepare financial forecasts. Manage the repair and service of customer boats in accordance with TPG service process and SOPs. Manage employees, including hiring, recruiting, onboarding, discipline, and terminations. Schedule and assign all work order tasks. Ensure proper time tracking and billing of labor hours. Ensure proper ordering, invoicing, and inventory of parts. Manage all third‑party subcontractors. Ensure work is completed in compliance with all applicable laws. Complete or approve billing for each job in a timely fashion. Prepare and review all estimates. Ensure customer communication occurs in regular intervals. Perform quality control inspections once work is completed. Approve accounts payable in accordance with TPG procurement guidelines. Collect payments and minimize accounts receivables. Manage dealership and vendor relationships, including tracking and maintenance of necessary employee trainings. Develop and execute apprenticeship and talent development programs. Report rhythm as determined by TPG Marinas. Identify and implement new strategies to grow revenues and manage expenses. Perform any other duties as assigned by TPG Marinas and the direct manager. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 3‑5 years of experience preferred in leading a marine service operation. Basic boat handling skills preferred. Ability to work on‑site at Taylor Point Boatyard, Dutch Harbor Boatyard, and Conanicut Marina. Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs; stand for extended periods and occasionally kneel, stoop, bend, and twist in tight areas. Comfortable with ladders and confined spaces; able to work in the elements regularly. Ready, willing, and able to work a fully flexible schedule that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
