Lewis College of Nursing and Health Professions Campus: Atlanta Position Type: Full Time Faculty Position Description The Department of Nutrition is seeking a 9‑month, non‑tenure track Clinical Instructor to begin Fall 2026. The appointment spans August to May, with optional paid work in June and July. Primary responsibilities include serving as a counseling preceptor and participating in didactic instruction. Other duties may include scholarly activities and academic and/or professional service. Responsibilities Serve as a counseling preceptor, providing nutrition counseling to diverse patient/client populations. Participate in didactic instruction of nutrition courses. Engage in scholarly activities and academic/professional service. Required Experience Earned graduate degree in Nutrition or closely related discipline. At least one year of experience working in nutrition counseling. At least one year as a registered dietitian post‑credentialing, with ability to be licensed in Georgia. Required Education Master’s degree in nutrition or a related field. Preferred Qualifications Three or more years as a registered dietitian delivering nutrition counseling to a diverse patient/client population. Experience teaching nutrition‑related courses at the college level and/or serving as a dietetic preceptor. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Proficiency in teaching through various instructional methods. Ability to foster an inclusive environment and support diverse student populations in both in‑person and virtual settings. Strong oral and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and technological skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records. Demonstrated expertise in instructional technology. Collaborative skills to support departmental and institutional goals. Licenses & Certifications At least one year of experience as a registered dietitian post‑credentialing, with ability to be licensed in Georgia. Pre‑Employment Requirements Criminal background check. Official transcript of highest degree. Work Hours Varied, with possibility of evenings and weekends. Salary Commensurate with experience.
