We work collaboratively with our clinical caregivers, patients and families to improve and maintain ideal lung health. The goal of our Respiratory Therapist is to perform with a high degree of competency in all clinical aspects of respiratory care for all age groups (adult, geriatric, and neonatal). Respiratory Therapy includes the application and monitoring of medical gases (excluding anesthetic gases) and environmental control systems, mechanical ventilatory support, artificial airway care, bronchopulmonary hygiene, pharmacologic agents related to respiratory care procedures, and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation related and limited to respiratory care. Graduate of accredited program in respiratory care (Bachelor degree preferred) Experience 5 years critical care experience as an RRT and Specialty areas may have increased experience requirements as dictated by unit or standard of care. Licenses and Certifications License by the Texas Medical Board, Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Upon Hire and (BLS) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT certification, course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) Upon Hire and (NRP) NEONATAL RESUSCITATION certification, course accredited by American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) within 90 Days and Specialty areas may have increased certification/license requirements as dictated by unit or standard of care.
